Helambu Youth Taking Their Place

Empowering youth is a critical step toward creating resilient and thriving communities. Our initiative, “Helambu Youths Taking Their Place,” successfully mobilized rural youths across all seven wards of the Helambu region. This project, with a strong emphasis on gender equality, included a group of 90 youths, with at least 50% being girls, participating in leadership workshops designed to develop their entrepreneurial skills and encourage them to become small-scale entrepreneurs. These sessions provided the youth with essential knowledge, skills, and access to networking opportunities.

The Heart of our Project

At its core, this project aimed to uplift Helambu’s youth by integrating them into the economic and social fabric of their communities. By strengthening the bonds between the youth, local cooperatives, and socio-economically marginalized groups, we sought to build a robust foundation for sustainable development and economic resilience.

Our Achievements

Leadership Workshops: Conducted leadership workshops for 90 youths, focusing on entrepreneurial skills and small-scale business development.

Capacity-Building Training: Provided technical training to 144 youths from all wards of Helambu on improved farming and animal husbandry practices, emphasizing sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
